Weekly letter 9, Test bit advent calendar, and Heinola soap

Welcome to Elsan Ekopaja's weekly newsletter.

This week, week 9, we will be revealing secrets, making a deal with an elf, planning a sauna trip with Mrs. Claus, and proudly presenting our beautiful home municipality and the Heinola soap created in collaboration. Finally, we will sing the crows' song.

Would you rather watch the newsletter as a video? (The song only plays when the sound is on) Watch it on Elsan Ekopaja's YouTube channel: Remember to follow us on YouTube and subscribe for notifications when a new video goes live!

Let's start by bragging about our home municipality, Heinola!

Heinola is a picturesque town by flowing and clean waters. Heinola is a sought-after place to live for families with children, remote workers, and peaceful retirees alike. Heinola's services are in a league of their own, housing is affordable and spacious. Nature is present right from your doorstep, and Heinola offers excellent facilities for outdoor activities. No wonder Heinola is a net migration winner, ranked 17th among all Finnish municipalities! Come to Heinola too, it's good to live here!

Out of love for our home municipality, a collaboration soap was born:

Heinola Soap.

The Heinola Soap had long needed an update, but we couldn't formulate it ourselves. It took a meeting that completely changed the look of this soap! (Watch the story of the meeting in the video)

Nora Bisi, a Heinola-based designer at www.mielidesign.com, has drawn a beautiful picture of Heinola. The picture encapsulates Heinola's essence: beautiful waters, cafes, the silhouette of the railway bridge, and boats. This wonderful picture had to be on the Heinola Soap label! Collaboration is one of Heinola's strongest assets. People, and especially entrepreneurs, are eager to cooperate, and so this collaborative soap between two innovative companies was created effortlessly.

By the way, have you seen Mari wearing a butterfly dress? The fabric was designed by Nora, and the dress was sewn from Nora's donated fabric by Mari's sister, Sirkku Tiira. Nora donated the fabric in Elsan's memory soon after Elsan Ekopaja was founded, and at that time, both of us had tears in our eyes. The dress turned out magnificent! Nora is such a talented designer.

Heinola Soap features a beautiful nature pattern. It looks like you've jumped to the moon and are looking at Heinola through Neil Armstrong's eyes. There it is, Heinola, the navel of the world. The soap's scent is pine and blueberry. Both are perfect natural scents for our hometown. The coconut milk soap is also wonderfully nourishing, a vegan round bar. If you take Heinola Soap on a trip, to the swimming hall, or as a souvenir, you too can brag about this best city in the world.

Last week, we made more Christmas Soap.

It's a lovely peppermint and cranberry scented olive oil soap, which can even be hung as a Christmas tree ornament, that's how beautiful the Christmas Soap is.

Mrs. Claus and Christmas Soap

News of the Christmas Soap had reached as far as Korvatunturi! Namely, the real and actual Mrs. Claus, better known by the hashtag @realmotherchristmas, wanted to personally test the Christmas Soap! We are already heating up the sauna here, welcome, Mrs. Claus. We first met Mrs. Claus last Christmas at the Tuomaan Markkinat in Helsinki, and then Mrs. Claus fell head over heels for the Avanto salt soap.

And now for the big secret:

Last weekend we had a social media giveaway. The giveaway asked you to guess what was inside the Christmas pouch? We also received correct answers and were able to conduct the draw! The winners will receive this product pouch, which is:

Sample Christmas Calendar

The calendar contains small samples of almost all our products.

The sample Christmas calendar is only available in Elsan Ekopaja's online store while supplies last!

The bag contains a collection of 24 sample pieces. The bag includes small samples of soaps, shampoos, creams, and cleaning soaps. In short, everything a Christmas enthusiast could wish for.

You will also find testers in the bag that you cannot otherwise buy, special editions made only for the Christmas calendar.

Open one tester a day, or even all at once (if you can't control yourself). We made a deal with the elf: He will close his eyes if the whole calendar is opened at once.

In the video, Mari and Jenni sing the Crow's song at the end. The reason for the song choice will become clear by watching the entire video on Elsan Ekopaja's YouTube channel. Remember to subscribe to the channel and turn on notifications, so you'll be among the first to hear about new surprises and products.

Towards a wonderful Christmas anticipation,

With fresh greetings,

Soap Sisters Mari Tiira and Jenni Äijälä
